Choosing the right car for a Miami trip
How to match a car to your Miami plans: who is riding, where you are driving, and what to have ready before you request your dates.
Published by Privately Known · · Updated
Start with the days you have planned, then compare the cars. A useful shortlist answers four questions: who is riding, what needs to fit, where you want to go and when you need the vehicle.
Start with the plan, not the badge
- Party size and luggage. Count every passenger and describe the bags you will carry. Confirm the exact vehicle's seating and usable luggage space; a model name or photograph alone does not establish a fit.
- Planned use. Explain airport journeys, city driving or a special occasion, with your intended destinations. Ask whether the provider permits that use and travel area before planning the route.
- Rental dates. Give pickup and return dates and times, plus any delivery preference. Confirm minimum duration, how rental days are counted, late-return charges and any delivery or collection arrangement.
- Provider-specific terms. Check driver age, licence, additional-driver and verification requirements; insurance evidence, coverage and exclusions; mileage allowance and excess-mile charges; geographic limits, fuel policy and cancellation terms. Do not transfer one operator's rules to another car.
Compare in The Collection
Compare the published photographs and details of the Ferrari SF90 Spider and Rolls-Royce Cullinan as different starting points—not a promise that either fits your group, luggage or dates.
Compare the total, not just the rental charge
Separate the rental charge for your dates from taxes, fees, delivery and selected extras. Ask which charges are included, what remains payable and when. Treat the security deposit separately: confirm the amount, whether it is a hold or payment, and its release or refund conditions. A displayed base rate is not an all-inclusive total or evidence of availability.
Read the existing rental and insurance guidance, then confirm what applies to the specific vehicle and provider. The article is a planning checklist, not an insurance recommendation or a replacement for the rental agreement.
Use the vehicle's current booking options
Follow the selected listing's available booking path. If pricing or availability must be requested, send the same dates, times, party details and intended use for each comparison. An inquiry does not reserve a car; only the provider's completed booking process confirms the arrangement.
