10 Luxury Beach Resorts in Florida by Coast and Travel Style

Compare ten Florida beach resorts by coast, room layout, pools and daily plans—from Palm Beach and Miami to the Keys, Naples and Amelia Island.

Choose a coast and a daily rhythm before choosing a resort. These ten Florida stays offer different answers to family pool time, a quiet room, shopping, a boat outing or a golf-and-spa break; they are a regional comparison, not a ranking. Five links lead to existing hotels in our collection. The other five lead only to the resorts' official sites, not additional collection listings.

Palm Beach: pool choice or a room-to-pool route

At The Breakers, the zero-entry Active Pool gives families a different setting from the separate Adult Pool. Choose around who is travelling, rather than expecting one pool to suit everyone. At Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, the first-floor Ocean-View Cabana Terrace Room makes the room-to-pool route part of the decision: its ocean-view terrace has private, direct pool access, with the beach beyond. Confirm the exact route and any steps with the hotel; the category name is not a promise of step-free access or a reserved poolside cabana.

Miami coast: family space, shopping or courtyard evenings

In Sunny Isles, Acqualina is worth comparing through the family suite layout: who needs a separate bedroom, where adults sit during naps and how the living space works. Its AcquaMarine children's program is inspired by marine biology. Check current ages, sessions and availability before building adult plans around it; a room booking is not a reserved program place.

At The St. Regis Bal Harbour, pool time can share the day with shopping at Bal Harbour Shops across Collins Avenue. That makes the daily plan different from an outing that needs a long drive. Allow time to cross and return, and choose the room and any poolside extras for the hours you will actually spend there.

At The Setai, put quiet room position alongside your courtyard dinner plans. An early bedtime and an evening near the dining scene call for different questions about the proposed suite. Do not assume either building guarantees silence or that an ocean outlook identifies the tower; use our Art Deco versus Ocean Suite guide to compare layouts.

The Keys: an island arrival, a water outing or Key West time

Little Palm Island is the adults-only choice here, with a boat or seaplane arrival arranged ahead of the stay. Give the transfer its own place in the plan, including arrival timing, luggage and any charges. The aerial photograph shows the island and its arrival dock, not a promise of private-vessel access.

Isla Bella in Marathon can anchor a stay built around a boat outing. Ask which current excursion suits your group, where it departs and how its timing works with the rest of the day. Confirm operator, weather terms and costs rather than assuming a water activity is included or leaves from a particular resort dock.

Casa Marina combines its beach and two pools with time in Key West. Leave space to go into town for a walk or dinner instead of treating every day as a full resort schedule. Compare the room position and the pool time you want with the hours you expect to spend exploring.

Gulf sunsets or an Atlantic golf-and-spa stay

The Ritz-Carlton, Naples on Vanderbilt Beach suits a plan built around the Gulf Coast evening: time for sunset, then dinner. Check dining availability and the actual room outlook rather than assuming a particular sunset table or view comes with the stay.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers a different rhythm on Florida's northeast Atlantic coast: a golf round and a spa appointment can shape the day around beach time. Confirm tee times and treatments separately, and leave enough room between them rather than booking a room and assuming those arrangements follow.

Compare the same stay, not just the hotel names

Put like room categories side by side: beds, separate living space, view, balcony or terrace, and the route to the pool or beach. Ask for date-specific totals for the same party and stay length, with applicable taxes, property charges, deposits and cancellation terms clear. Add only the extras you need—perhaps a transfer, a boat outing, a cabana, golf or a treatment—and confirm their availability and price separately. A regional shortlist is not a confirmed room, activity or all-in quote.
