The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami
Coconut Grove, Miami
A compact, residential-feeling Ritz-Carlton in Coconut Grove, with a heated pool, a boutique spa and easy reach of Brickell — an urban hotel, not a beach one.
- Style
- Urban retreat
- Consider it for
- Business stays, Grove weekends and travelers who prefer a calmer city base
Character
Quiet, competent, central
Set among the banyans of Coconut Grove, this Ritz-Carlton is compact by the brand's Miami standards and is planned as a city hotel rather than a resort. Rooms in the official photography are pale and restrained, and the scale suits travelers who prefer a smaller lobby and a shorter walk to the pool.
Choose it for business in Brickell or the Grove, for a city weekend with walkable dinners, or as a quieter alternative to downtown. It is not beachfront; the sand is a drive away.
Dining
Three easy settings
- Isabelle's the main restaurant, with a patio.
- The Commodore for drinks and lighter bites.
- Sundeck poolside dining.
Hours and menus confirmed for your dates. The Grove's own restaurants are an easy walk.
Pool

The heated pool with cabanas is the outdoor focus. Cabanas are reserved separately at extra cost.
Wellness
Boutique spa and fitness
A boutique spa and fitness center; treatments booked separately and hours confirmed with the hotel.
Location and planning
Grove to Brickell
CocoWalk and the bayfront are a short walk; Brickell and downtown are a brief drive; the airport is about 15–25 minutes away depending on traffic.
Choosing well
Why choose the Grove over Brickell or the beach
Miami splits neatly into beach and city, and this hotel is firmly city — but a softer version of it. Where Brickell is glass towers and traffic, Coconut Grove offers shade, sailboats in Dinner Key Marina and evening walks to restaurants along Main Highway and Grand Avenue. If your trip involves meetings downtown, a family visit in South Miami or Coral Gables, or a concert at the Coconut Grove waterfront, the location saves real time.
It also works as a bookend: a night or two here after arrival or before an early flight, paired with beach nights in Key Biscayne or Miami Beach. Families with young children may prefer a resort with a beach and kids' program; couples and solo travelers who value a pool, a quiet room and a walkable neighborhood will find the balance right. Ask Noemie to compare it with Mr. C and Mayfair House, the Grove's two other hotels in this collection, which feel very different.
