Character

Scale is the point

Fontainebleau is one of the defining buildings of Miami Beach: Morris Lapidus's sweeping 1954 crescent, the bow-tie lobby floor, the staircase to nowhere. Today it spans several towers on a long Mid-Beach frontage and operates almost like a small town, with its own restaurants, nightclub, spa, pools and event halls.

It is the right answer when a group wants to stay together and still split up — a bachelorette, a milestone birthday, a multi-family holiday, a conference with leisure days. The energy is high, especially on weekends and event weeks. Travelers seeking intimacy or quiet should look elsewhere or plan carefully around tower choice.

Dining and evenings

Dinner, then LIV

  • Hakkasan for modern Cantonese in a dark, dramatic room.
  • Prime 54 the resort's steakhouse.
  • LIV the nightclub; entry, tables and age rules are managed separately from your room.

There are more casual cafés and poolside options across the property. Concepts, hours and nightclub nights are confirmed for your dates; Noemie can request tables but cannot guarantee them, and nightclub access is never implied by a room booking.

Pools and beach

A pool for every mood

Multiple pools spread across the oceanfront terraces, from family-friendly areas to more adult settings, leading onto a long serviced beach. Cabanas and daybeds are reserved separately and priced on their own; on busy weekends they sell out.

Wellness

Lapis spa and fitness

Lapis is the resort's spa, known for its water-journey circuit; there is also a substantial fitness center. Treatment bookings and any circuit access fees are confirmed with the resort.

Location and planning

Mid-Beach, a self-contained world

At 44th Street the resort sits north of the Faena District, a short ride from South Beach and Wynwood. Tower choice changes the experience more than at most hotels: some towers lean residential with kitchens and longer-stay layouts, others sit closer to the pool and nightlife. Tell Noemie the group size, ages and noise tolerance first.

Choosing well

Making a big resort feel personal

The best Fontainebleau stays are planned. Decide in advance which pool suits your group, book cabanas early if you want one, and reserve dinner before you land. For families, a suite with kitchen facilities in a residential-style tower can make a long stay calmer; for celebrations, rooms near the action save long walks after a late night.
